minus 1 day: 35% off cirque du soleil tickets

We heard there are many shows to catch in Las Vegas so we decided to buy tickets to at least one. And all three of us were pretty keen on Cirque Du Soleil, I didn't know there are so many different CDS shows!

Our tour manager Dave Tan told us that we'll have the 2nd night in Vegas to ourselves. So a quick search by date narrowed down the list quickly. There goes Cirque Du Soleil Love (The Beatles).

Jerrain further focus our attention on shows that are nearer to our hotel. That brought us to two Cirque Du Soleil shows - the sensual and provocative cabaret style "Zumanity" or classic acrobatic and dramatic dance filled "Mystere".

We decided to go with the classic Mystere. I'm looking forward to my first circus experience!

Cost: US$290 for 3 tickets to Cirque Du Soleil Mystere after 35% online discount

minus 2 days: all packed!

We were initially planning for a free-and-easy road trip, but by the time we were going to confirm the trip, the flight tickets for Singapore Airlines had gone way up from S$1700 to over S$2400. So after considering all the factors, we decided to go on a 11 days 8 nights packaged tour with Chan Brothers.

We anticipate that we'll be doing quite a bit of shopping so we are packing as light as possible but bring luggages as big as possible. If that's not good enough, I heard Samsonite is much cheaper there. ;)

In preparation, the boyfriend and I checked out a few stores to get a feel of prices. He also tried a couple of shirts at Abercrombie so I know what size to get if I were to buy stuff for him.

Cost: S$67.20 travel insurance from ACE,  S$26 international adapter with 2 USB, S$10 inflatable travel pillow

Highlight: The fun part of travelling is in the planning. Since it's a packaged tour, all the planning is done. So I guess it's the anticipation that's making me smile.

minus 1 month: the travellers

Exactly three years ago, Jerrain and I trotted across eleven countries in Europe with our ridiculously large 15 kilogram backpacks. We return, this time, a little older, but a little smarter.

Besides exchanging back-breaking oversized backpacks for four-wheel luggages, we invited Daniel along on this trip! Nothing beats having a guy friend when you have limited time (and hands) when we are speeding through the huge outlet malls. Not to mention the additional baggage space if Jerrain decides to buy those five-inch killer heels!

Check back to follow us as we explore Los Angeles, Vegas, Grand Canyon, San Francisco, and more!
